Serves 8–12 slices
1 Baguette
1 tblsp extra virgin olive oil
2 broccoli bunches
2 garlic cloves, minced,
salt and black pepper
5 crushed wallnuts
Shaved Parmisan cheese
Preheat an oven to 400°F.
1.Cut the bread on a diagonal
2.Put the bread on a baking sheet and smear it with olive oil
3.Bake about 10 minutes.
4.Trim and discard the thick stems of the broccoli rabe. Cut the remainder into 1-inch lengths.
5.Cook the broccoli rabe in the boiling water, about 5 minutes.
6. Mix garlic and pepper with salt and broccoli rabe
7.Spoon the broccoli rabe mixture onto the prepared toasts.
8. Top with crashed wallnuts
9.Top with the shaved cheese
Best to serve with white wine!!!!
