Yahoo Is About To Sell Delicious

It seems that the fear of a great loss is over. When Yahoo announced that Delicious will be shout down I was not really impresses by their decision. But now I see that they don’t want to totally destroy good service after another and they’re wiling to give it away. And as you can see, for a very small amount.

And the official news from Business Insider

The reason the sale is taking so long is Delicious infrastructure is entirely reliant on Yahoo technology. Yahoo has been taking Delicious off its infrastructure. People are very loyal to the product, and Yahoo says it’s the most widely used internal property at Yahoo. The code name for the sale is “Project Dragon,” and our source says the deal could close as soon as next week.

What do you think about this? Are you happy or you just don’t really care? I’m sure happy that Yahoo decided to sell Delicious instead of shutting it down. I use Delicious daily to save and share bookmarks and it’s very helpful for getting traffic and writng new blog posts with link lists and recommendations. It will be such a loss for all the bloggers if they would shut it down. But now we hope for the best
