It was about a year ago that I fully understood what Ezinearticles.com and similar places were all about. I signed up and got hits almost right away but they don't allow for my Adsense account. Then the ones that do have a low page ranking. That's been my experience so unless you have a brand that you would like to have known, leave this places alone because the "residuals" aren't even worth talking about. Now if you want to get paid to talk to people across the world, check these folks out!
