Wet Blanket Journal

Dang stomach bug is making me think weird thoughts.

I remember when it was not ok for a man to have a diary. But it was ok to have a journal, so I had one of those. Then it wasn’t OK to have a journal, so I kept a log.

I suppose I asked for it with my description of this blog as a journal. But I did want to be something more professional, and it seems that you can’t set your own category of blog subject, which makes sense from an organizational point of view. If I could, then I would classify this as something else, because, as everyone knows, real men don’t do diaries or journals.

But if I classified this blog as something else then I would have to live up to that. I am not an expert on Multiple Myeloma other than for my particular case, which, while it might have some things in common with other folks’ cases, probably isn’t a lot like other people’s experiences. Which makes me wonder how this would be helpful to someone else who has been diagnosed. That was my hope, that I could help people, because there seemed to be a lot of misinformation - for example, my family thought that terminal stage meant i would die. And here I am two years later not dead. Also there may be a connection between MM and celiac disease and people really need to think more about that.

Eh, those are goals and half dreams at that. There are only a handful of people looking at this. Not enough action. I suck as an activist. Might as well continue a journalist.

Wait….
