Asus might pass its notebook production to branch company Asusalpha Computer.

The main reason for that is Asus partners pressure. Asus carries out orders for such big companies as Dell, Toshiba and Apple. Nevertheless, Asus own brand recognition has grown, which resultated in competition with company's clients.

Sony and Apple have already turned Asus down, passing orders to Foxconn Electronics and Quanta Computer. Dell has even demanded that Asus gives notebook production to the branch company by 2008.
