Oil hits $100 mark
Oil prices have reached $100 per barrel, almost reaching the peak point of $101.70 set in 1980 during the war between Iraq and Iran. Analysts say the high price is the result of a combination of things - geopolitical turmoil, weak US dollar and tight energy stockpiles.Troubles in Nigeria also raised the price of oil. Fox and Apple plan movie rental deal
Apple Inc and Twentieth Century Fox are set to announce a new deal that will allow consumers to rent Fox movies through Apple's digital iTunes store. The agreement will allow rental's of Fox Latest DVD released by downloading a copy from iTunes for a limited time.This agreement, according to Pali Research analyst Stacey Widlitz, is cutting out middlemen.analyst Michael Pachter said this deal would only expand the universe of online renters. Pachter said the rental terms and movie release schedule will largely determine how successful the Apple-Fox deal is.
