Using SquidUtils to Build Amazon Links

Recently I joined SquidUtils.com to help promote my Squidoo articles and discovered their utility to build Amazon links. I find them much easier to use than other link building programmes. To use it you need to be an Amazon affiliate, but you can join up for free and you can then earn royalties on all sales.

With SquidUtils, all you have to do is to enter the (ASIN) number of the item you want to feature in the box. Under that is a box for your affiliate ID. You can choose an individual code, a large poster or a banner.

Individual items can be set 3 or 4 in a line as I’ve done in my Bath Baskets and Kimonos articles. You have the choice of small or slightly larger images of the product, but I find the small ones are really too small to be easily read by your reader – the larger option is much better. One click and the utility will find the HTML code for your item. What appears when you copy and paste it into a text module is a picture of the item, the price and a description. Hidden within the code is your affiliate ID, so any sale can be tracked back to you.

The ‘poster’ one produces a larger version which will fill a text box, but the reproduction of the image in this is a bit blurry and doesn’t look as good as the smaller ones. In all though, this is an essential piece of kit for the coming high sales holiday season.
