Role Playing Games have been popular on consoles for years, and the Nintendo Wii is no exception. . These games are typically set in fictional worlds, in which the hero explores and fights throughout the course of the game. The player controls one or more game characters, and achieves victory by completing a series of quests; solving puzzles and engaging in tactical combat.
Earthquake hits England!

The largest earthquake to hit England in 25 years happened at 1 am this morning, measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale. It woke me up by shaking the bed, but I didn't realise what it was until I listen to the news the next day. It was the talk of the nation, as it was felt through-out most of the country. Earthquake felt across much of UK (BBC News)

Bill Bailey does Kraftwerk

I spent all morning trying to find a clip of Bill Bailey doing a bit of Jean Michel Jarre - eventually found it at the end of 'Bewilderness', but it wasn't as good as I remembered (see it here). So, instead, here's Bill's tribute to Kraftwerk, which was the final bit of his 'Part Troll'. Much more to be found on YouTube.

Hot New Transformers Toys

Following the new Transformers Movie released earlier this year, the toy figures could be the biggest thing for Christmas 2007. Hasbo has brought out a brand new range of Transformers Toys, most of which will transform from their robot form into a vehicle. The video below combines clips from the film with shots of the toys for the main Autobot characters. My favourite has to be the Ultimate Bumblebee, which looks stunning. It's not cheap though, as it retails for around $100! Don't let your toddler or dog chew on this one!

At the height of the dot com bubble, I joined a website call AllAdvantage.com, the first of many similar programs. The idea was simple - they paid you to surf the web, while displaying ads on your desktop. The longer you spent online, the more money you earnt, and you could earn more if you managed to recruit others. I actually got paid for my time online - not a huge amount, but not insignificant either. That was then... when the the bubble burst, AllAdvantage was one of many to fall by the way side. Now, it seems that the original founders of AllAdvantage have started a new company called AGLOCO, ...

My 3 year old Olympus C-350 Zoom digital camera has been becoming increasingly unreliable recently. I often couldn't use the navigation buttons, which left me stuck in whichever mode it was in, and sometimes it wouldn't even turn on. As you can imagine, this can be quite frustrating... particularly when I couldn't turn the flash on or off. So while we were in New England last month, I bought my self a new digital camera; a Canon PowerShot A540 (picture above). With 6 megapixels and 4x optical zoom, it's certainly better than my old one. It has a ton of picture modes, including an "underwater" ...
