I know Nuremberg. I was there a lot of years ago. I don't remember the buildings any more but it was a very nice city. I know a lot of places in Germany, I had friends there and I went there for holidays a lot of times. There's a lot of wonderful places. The city that I know better is Köln (Cologne).

Koln, hehmmm... i'll go there one day :-) i miss germany and europe, lovely cities and cultures, sad if the peoples do not reserve their own cultures and legacy anymore, don't they? You are so lucky because you are in the same continent. You can go round by Eurorail, i guess :-) Good holidays for you...

It's not easy to travel from Portugal. As Portugal is the most western country in Europe we have to cross Spain and France to go to other countries. And in Portugal the earnings have always been very low compared to all other European countries. Nowadays we have the low cost airfares but money is not so much for the medium Portuguese classes. When I traveled I went to friends places and I used the train or low cost buses. And I had to eat in McDonald's that was the cheapest place to eat. But it was a great time! I miss it! :)

i've been in Spain and Germany. Barcelona, Stuttgart and a couple of small towns in Germany. I guess I like all of them. Maybe because they were all new fresh different experiences to me :-) Europe is very artistic. So is the people especially spanish women :-)

You know places that I don't know. I don't know Stuttgart nor Barcelona. I know Barcelona is a very wonderful city but till now I couldn't go there (because of money.. ). But I will go there one day. I want to see las Ramblas and Gaudi architecture.
So Spanish women are a work of art! lol ;)

I went to Paris in 1975! lol
but you can be sure it is a nice city with lot of interesting places. France has a lot of very nice places. What I most enjoyed was Brittany. It's so nice! with very small towns near the sea. It's wonderful! But there's a lot of other lovely places. Lyon, where I live is also a very beautiful city. We usually say (joking) that there's only a problem with Lyon, it's to have to much French people :)

hahaha too much French people :-) maybe you should bring more friends and relatives of yours from Portugal then... migrate to France :-) good idea, isn't it?

It's difficult to have more Portuguese here than we already have. Portuguese emigrants in France and in Lyon are a lot! Unfortunately most of the times it's not the people we would like to meet. It's nothing to do with their origins, but they are rude and like to be rude.

It's not only the Portuguese. A lot of emigrants (in France the majority are Arabian) are like that.

you mean the majority of emigrants are rude? it's quite strange... usually the natives should be fiercer than the outsiders :-)

It's normal here and in the United States also. There's a lot of Portuguese emigrants there also.

I think I used the wrong word. It usually use some words similar to the Portuguese and they're not correct. I wanted to say it's usual, not normal..

hehehe nevermind... i just wonder why? are they in depression? or cultural differences? yeah i saw riots and burnings in France last time, i guess...

They're not to blame. The problem is that usually the countries, in this case, France, build something like ghetos where the emigrants lived. Ugly places where children grew away from the others in almost closed communities. Parents were away, working all day and they stopped school very early. There was always, also, a lot of racism. Emigrants also didn't try to integrate and build those communities where they lived as in their homeland and spending the less they could to take the money to their homeland. Now France is seeing the errors but it's to late and there's a great hate from the Arabians against the government.
