Authorities in Shanghai are evacuating about 200,000 people to safer areas as the typhoon Wipha approaches. Wipha is forecast to hit south of Shanghai on Wednesday morning after sweeping past Taiwan. According to TDRC (Taiwan's Desaster Relief Center) One worker was killed and another injured when scaffolding collapsed at a highway construction site in the city. With winds reaching 300kph, it could be the most destructive storm to hit the Shanghai area. People living close to the shore and in old, dangeorus houses were ordered to evacuate.
