Government and politics and injustice. The law is not just, not fair. It is the law. Written by men to serve those who control the men who wrote it.

| The United States Supreme Court made two very important ruling this week. The first ruling states that convicted child molesters cannot be put to death. And the second concerns execution methods. The Court held that the drug combination used to execute condemned inmates does not violate the constitutional ban on cruel and unusually punishment.I strongly disagree with the Court in the ruling concerning the child molesters. By definition that includes disagreeing with opponents of the death penalty. Opponents claim that the death penalty does not deter anyone from committing the same crime. I strongly

| A lot has been written and cussed and discussed about whether citizens should be allowed to carry concealed hand guns. Today I saw what happens when private citizens carry hand guns.As for me, I have always been for the proposition that we should be allowed to defend ourselves. I firmly believe that when guns are outlawed, only the outlaws will have guns. But today I saw what really happens when private citizens are allowed to carry hand guns.In the state of Texas there are several ways a citizen can carry a gun. One is to become a certified peace officer. Another is to become a certified security

| No other President in the history of the United States has abused our constitution as much as President H. W. Bush our 43 rd President. No other President has dared to limit from the citizens so many constitutional rights. In addition to circumventing the constitution and eliminating rights guaranteed to the citizens of this great nation, no other United States President has been responsible for so much torture of so many humans. Not only of foreigners but also of its citizens. President Bush has trampled on and violated the Geneva Convention Accords to the extent that he had to sneak a pardon

| For the first time in the history of the United States of America I am ashamed of my country and its leaders!!! Leading doctors and mental health professionals examined former prisoners of Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and found evidence of of U.S. torture and war crimes. I do not mean your run of the mill pushing and shoving, I mean real torture. Some men reported, and the doctors found evidence of, being raped by sticks and other objects. Also, being shocked by electric wires on various parts of the body. Also reported were incidents of being stripped naked and paraded

| Seven persons arrested for cheering at a high school graduation ceremony. Read the entire story here http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,365461,00.html . MY GOD what is this country coming to? How could these people dare cheer for someone graduating high school? Ok. So it may be that this is the only family member ever to graduate from high school. Big deal. Is that any reason to cheer? Maybe this student completed his course work from a hospital bed but still made it to graduation. That’s no big deal. Is that any reason to cheer?Just because these kids spent over twelve years of their

| Can you tell the difference between a kiddy pornographic photo and a family photo? If you cannot tell the difference or do not know the legal difference, you should not be taking photos of your minor children or grandchildren. The child pornographic laws have changed. While I applaud child pornographic laws, I also believe that we (the public) are entitled to specific definitions of what is child porn.Presently child porn is in the eye of the beholder. What Grandma might consider “cute”, a hardened criminal investigator might consider child pornography. The test is not what is

| Does the end always justify the means? Is it ok for a police officer to lie and get a known criminal off the street? Is it ok for a police officer to lie about your speeding ticket just to meet his quota for the month? Does the end always justify the means? We know a criminal on the street is just a crime looking to happen. We know that eventually, you are going to speed. Moreover, we know that if an officer does not issue enough traffic citations it looks bad for his performance evaluation. This is a dangerous situation, especially when the police apply this principal. More and more we are reading

| The CBS morning news carried a news item about the growing number of homeless in California. Two things caught my attention. One is that in California it is illegal to park on a public street and sleep in your car. Two, the people breaking this law are newly displaced former home owners. These criminals that are breaking the law by sleeping in their cars were law abiding middle class citizens just a few months ago. Why would normal law abiding middle class citizens turn to a life of crime overnight? One answer is the economy. As the gap between the haves and the have-nots gets wider crime tends

| When the raid on the polygamous Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints took place, about six weeks ago, Pancho Villa expressed some concern over the legalities of the raid (read it here). The raid on a ranch located near San Angelo Texas was a cooperative effort involving all law enforcement agencies of the State of Texas as well as local law enforcement. The object of the raid was to “rescue” the more than 450 children at the ranch from the so called “perverts”
