Two failed attempts and then I found Squidoo and HubPages and really started writing3

I first tried EzineArticles and didn’t relate to the process, not sure why after all this time. Not motivated to check them out unless encouraged.
Next I tried WikiHow. Wrote and published one masterpiece How-to article in my humble opinion. I was surprised, then annoyed to see that others were chiming in, editing my stuff, deleting things. I know, that’s the terms in that site, and was forewarned. I still didn’t like the feeling. Never went back.
I write for my self-approval first, and the reader’s approval a close second. I welcome comments, suggestions, and alternate views and have taken these into account and upgraded my articles myself. That’s one of the beauty things about Internet article writing; you can go back and edit, prune, correct and update. My first solid experience in article writing was with Squidoo where I published 18 lenses. Along the way, I heard about a startup called HubPages that was in a beta test phase. Invited myself in and am still creating HubPages.
What sites do you use for article writing?

  • There are plenty of other online writing places to try, if you're interestd. There's: Helium.com, Triond.com, Bukisa.com, Gather.com and others.
  • Thanks @jharmon, I've looked at a couple of your suggestions and will check out the others. In the end I have to settle down to a couple of sites to have any impact on a particular site.
  • Great tips, thanks so much. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=123660517659077&ref=mf
