Italian company Lamborghini released a new exclusive lamborghini Reventon. It's based on Murcielago LP640. Reventon has a 6,5 liter V12 engine producing 650 bhp. It goes from 0 to 60 in 3,4 seconds with the top speed of 340 kph. Each car costs $1000000 and all 20 cars are already sold.   read more

Russian Prime Minister and His Government Resigns (reposted)

Vladimir Putin has accepted the resignation of his prime minister and his government. Who will replace Mikhail Fradkov is yet unknown but this move will enable Putin to appoint a new premier. Fradkov described his resignation as "his own desire to give Russia's president full freedom of decision including staff decisions" Fradkov will continue on an acting basis in the post until a new premier has been named and confirmed by the parliament. Hot New Transformers Toys (reposted)

Following the new Transformers Movie released earlier this year, the toy figures could be the biggest thing for Christmas 2007. Hasbo has brought out a brand new range of Transformers Toys, most of which will transform from their robot form into a vehicle.The video below combines clips from the film with shots of the toys for the main Autobot characters. My favourite has to be the Ultimate Bumblebee, which looks stunning. It's not cheap though, as it retails for around $100! Don't let your toddler or dog chew on this one!   read more

Mobile phone turned 20. On 7 September 1987, 15 phone firms signed an agreement to build mobile networks based on the Global System for Mobile (GSM) Communications. According to the GSM Association there are more than 2.5 billion accounts that use mobile phones. Adoption of the technology shows no signs of slowing down with many developing nations becoming keen users of mobile handsets. Future phones Robert Conway, head of the GSM Association, said the memorandum of understanding signed in 1987 is widely seen as the moment when the global mobile industry got under way.   read more

Hostage Situation in Australia:Resolved (reposted)

Yesterday a man armed with a knife held a baby hostage northeast of Adelaide has surrendered peacefully after a four-hour stand-off. Police negotiators resolved the incident at a house in Berri Road, Hope Valley, shortly before 5pm (CST). The man left the house, handed over the baby and surrendered to police.
