Time to Bring the Garden Shed Back Into Use
My garden shed has fallen into disrepair recently. I say recently, it actually started last year when roof fell in. What had happened was that the felting had come away and the roof rotted through and gradually fell to bits. So last summer I replaced the whole roof. Somehow I never managed to get around to clearing out the debris that remained on the floor and there is certain amount of repair required to one of the walls; the back wall forms part of the goat pen and they have managed to make a large hole in it. Here it is, and as you can see it is looking a little sad and neglected. You can also see that the shed also forms a part of the walls of the greenhouse.
Anyway, I have decided that I need to get it sorted, after all, garden sheds are useful for storage if only I can get it organized. At the moment what was in the shed, such as various tools, lawnmower, hedge trimmer, etc. are currently in the garage and the greenhouse. So repair is required to the back wall, clearing out the debris, perhaps I could put up some shelves, that kind of thing. Then, who knows, I might actually be able to find the things that I currently spend ages looking for. I have learned not to keep seeds in there though as mice tend to get in there in and eat them! The other thing I need to do is repaint the walls with some sort of wood preservative before we head into autumn.
Well that was the plan anyway for this Sunday. But it rained all day, so I found things to do in the house instead. Maybe next weekend.
Actually, I have two garden sheds, but the other one is used for rather less conventional purposes.........
Yes, a goat shed!
