The sales pitch
I just cant understand why marketers continue to leave money on the table. They are sold to this belief that their sales page has to be packed full of unbelievable claims , made up testimonials, and hype, hype, hype. Real internet marketers and consumers are tired of seeing this kind of “Cheep” marketing strategies being used. While these marketers who choose to use these methods may make a quick buck or too, what they fail to realize is that they are limiting their chances for any follow on sales in the future.
Initially, when a potential customer sees this type of sales technique, they subconsciously already do not believe the pitch. A few continue on to the order page and actually purchase out of curiosity. Once they receive their purchase, they are let down because the product did not live up to the hype created by the sales page. Many consumers are led to try to get their money back, and worse, they will never buy for that merchant again. Not only that, they become mistrustful of any purchases online.
This causes a negative outcome for all internet marketers, even the ethical ones. The proper mindset knows that building rapport with potential customers needs to be priority one. To build rapport, the marketer must be able to provide their potential customers with something of value for free. Continuing to provide value will build trust in your visitors which in return will create raving customers who will want to continue to purchase products from you.
