Convened and hosted by Pastor Paul Adefarasin, The Experience is an Interdenominational Gospel concert that features some of the best-known musical talents of our time. The Event, which debuted in December 2006 with over 70,000 persons in attendance rapidly gained momentum at its second outing with a quantum leap in attendance of well over 250,000 people. The Experience has now become known as the largest musical concert in Africa.
Micah Stampley, known for his multi-octave voice, worshipper's heart and passion for God, was divinely called and chosen for the assignment he has been given. Born in Los Angeles and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Stampley was one of eight children brought up in a stringent Pentecostal household, headed by his father Richard Stampley, a pastor by calling and a carpenter and craftsman of fine furniture by trade, and his wife Delmarie, a loving mother and homemaker. Together, the Stampleys tried their best to keep their children sheltered from secular music, subjecting them to a steady diet of the greats: Shirley Caesar, Andraé Crouch, the Winans, and Commissioned, to name a few. Ask Don Moen what he does, and the answer might surprise you. He won't say he's a songwriter even though he's written more than 100 songs. He won't say he's a worship leader even though he's led worship on every continent but Antarctica and recorded numerous albums. He won't say he's a businessman or producer even though he has produced and directed hundreds of successful projects. If you ask Don Moen why God put him on this planet, he'll tell you, "To be an architect who designs products and events that help people experience God's presence in a new and fresh way." And in more than three decades of ministry, he's had lots of opportunity to fulfill that purpose. Chevelle Franklyn has emerged on the gospel music scene as one of the most outstanding Ministers of Music over the past nine years. Her insight as a songwriter/producer, vocal capacity as a singer, and her anointing as a worshiper has ensured her success as a leading, international, multiple award-winning Psalmist.
As a child prodigy in the industry, Chevelle recorded her first single - "Here I Am" produced by Rohan Harrison -and it was released in her early teens. Public reaction to its debut was incredibly positive and indicated that Chevelle had a future in the industry. Nurtured by some of the top names among Jamaica's music producers, Chevelle soon marked out a distinctive territory in Jamaica's dancehall culture scene. Her future took a rosy turn when she began working with producers Mikey Bennett and Rohan Harrison. She recorded her smash hit "Nice and Naughty", followed by another single, "No Pushover" in 1992..., again produced by Mikey Bennett. If it's one thing that Kirk Franklin understands, it is that soul and gospel have always been a part of the same close-knit family. Since the release of his self-titled debut in 1993, Franklin has proved himself a pioneer when he sprinkled a taste of hip-hop in the mix.
He changed musical history with the release of his debut album, KIRK FRANKLIN AND THE FAMILY, the first gospel album to sell more than a million units. In his bold attempt to broaden the range of the traditional gospel audience, Kirk Franklin was willing to take heat from the naysayers as long as it didn't get in the way of delivering the inspired message. After more than 16 years as the top-selling Contemporary Gospel artist, Kirk Franklin shows no signs of slowing down. Many believe the secret to his continued success is rooted in his artistic genius of being innovative, relevant and authentic. To date, the musical trendsetter has garnered seven GRAMMY® Awards; an American Music Award; 35 Stellar Awards; 12 Dove Awards (CCM); five NAACP Awards; 2 BET Music Awards, a Soul Train Award and numerous others. "I began to record albums when I was twenty years old. After I finished from Kaduna Polytechnic, I got a job with Radio ELWA Christian Communications as a Production Supervisor/Engineer. I got married when I was twenty-four years old. God has blessed us with four children. My elder brother, Rev. Phillip Paul Mokungah, [now deceased], became a pastor of an independent Pentecostal Church called Oasis of Love in Jos, Plateau State in 1978. What I saw there encouraged me to decide on being a full-time gospel music minister. I resigned my position with Radio ELWA and set up my own recording studio with digital recording equipment in Jos. I named it Panam Music World. Panam Music World is an organization set up to facilitate the education of the musicians. Facilities are available for good evangelism, and a springboard for any musician whether there is cash or no cash. We also run a college, the Panam College of Music Ministry.
