It is sad that school shootings have become a frequent thing in the U.S. In Northern Illinois University a shooter killed 5 people and wounded 17. The scenario was the same as in many other such cases, a gunman came in, shot everyone then shot himself. The police say they know the identity of the gunman but but have not released it yet. The motives of the shooter are unknown. How many such cases there have to be to get the government thinking about it's arms policy. What do they expect when they have a country full of armed people - some are bound to be unstable or have a grudge against the world.

The authorities in India's premier engineering institute, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Bombay (Mumbai), have cut off internet access to students in hostels at night. The authorities believe that late online sitting disturbs student studies, because they spend this time chatting, downloading and gaming.
