Probably the rarest animal in the world

Whale sharks are gentle giants of the sea and are very rare. But this 33 ft shark is even more rare because it's completely white. The albino whale shark was spotted off the coast of Darwin, an island in the Galapagos group Usually whale sharks have dark pattern skin with white spots all over. Amazingly

Hey, In the mask! Got a light?

At first it looks like the shark has a cigar in its mouth. It reality it's not a cigar but a hooked pole. Most probably the shark has come off the encounter with the fisherman. 2 divers spotted the shark in Australian waters and knew that if the pole stays in the shark won't be able to feed and will most certainly die.Sharks are an endangered species and they are illegal to fish

Look behind you

2 surfers were busy catching waves in the warm waters of Florida when a 6ft black tip shark leaped out of the water yard away from the surfers. The shark disappeared soon after having its picture taken. Photographer Kem McNair insists that there was no digital manipulation with these photos.

An Astonishing Love Story

An amazing love story was published in the French magazine "Le Magazine des Voyages de Pêche"Arnold Pointer a fisherman from Australia rescued a big female great white shark from certain death that was caught in the fishing net. For two years now the shark doesn't leave the fisherman alone. Arnold is unable to fish anymore because the shark scares all the fish away. Once he stops the boat Cindy (the shark) come to Arnold and lets him pet her belly and neck and she grunts, turns her eyes and moves her fins hitting the water happily in the process. It's an amazing story.

DNA tests to determine how blacktip reef shark got pregnant

Veterinarian Bob George sliced open the dead shark and saw the outline of a fish. It was a perfectly formed, 10-inch-long shark pup that was almost ready to be born.He had been examining the shark, Tidbit, to figure out why she reacted badly to routine sedatives during a physical and died, hours after biting an aquarium curator on the shin. But sharks only breed with sharks of the same species, and there were no male blacktip reef sharks at the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center in Virginia Beach.Could Tidbit have defied nature, resulting in the first known shark hybrid? The other possibility

Female hammerhead sharks can reproduce without having sex

Biology Letters Journal reports, that the evidence comes from a shark at Henry Doorly Zoo in Nebraska which gave birth to a pup in 2001 despite having had no contact with a male. Genetic tests by a team from Belfast, Nebraska and Florida prove conclusively the young animal possessed no paternal DNA. The type of reproduction exhibited had been seen before in bony fish but never in cartilaginous fish such as sharks.

Shark attacks are usual situation in Australian waters, about 15 timesa year..and an average of one a year is fatal.. So that was this time.. Eric Nerhus, 41 year old diver, was diving on Australia'a south-east coast..when he was attacked. The 3 metre shark, as he said, bit him from the head down, breaking his nose by crushing his face mask inwards. He says, "I would say that would test anyone's resolve, being a fish lunch. " Then the shark took a second bite, this time seizing Eric by the body and biting into his torso. His
