Free SEO Recommendations

Free SEO recommendations If you have Web Site or blog, you know for sure what SEO means. Wikipedia defines Search engine optimization (SEO) as the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results for targeted keywords. Usually, the earlier a site is presented in the search results or the higher it "ranks", the more searchers will visit that site. So, what does that mean for you? So, it is not enough to generate the fresh high-quality content on the Web site or blog. By

Bill Gates recommended Xobni

Do you think Bill Gates is a visionary man? I do.Bill Gates, speaking February 2008 at the Microsoft Office Developer Conference in San Jose, California, called Xobni "the next generation of social networking." So, what is Xobni? The application, called Xobni (name is strange, but if you spell inbox backwards, you will get what they mean), is an Outlook plug-in that not only indexes your inbox for advanced searching but also turns Outlook into a kind of social networking utility that can identify links between e-mail recipients.Xobni digs into e-mails in Outlook and creates some kind

Google Trends of President Hopefuls

I'm very interested in data, so something like Google Trends is very entertaining for me (might not be the case for everyone). This is a Trends report for the three presidential hopefuls: Obama, Clinton, and McCain. I was inspired by CafePress's charts of Sales and Products created per candidate. They include almost all political hopefuls (including Al Gore). Mine shows the search trends of Google users for the three candidates as well as sub-region stats, and stats for New Jersey (that's where i live).

Blog Searching Capabilities Enhancement with BlogBar

I am trying to keep my main Blogs’ layout very simple and non-aggressive. Presence of the blinking banners, flashing ads, and pop-up windows, might be fascinating at the first glance, but on the long-term, it is taking away readers' attention from the main content. However, I am constantly searching for the utilities and widgets that can help my readers and myself, as well to keep them on my site as long as possible.I am pretty sure, that Blogbar fills the very important gap on my blogs related to the readers' need for additional information advanced search. Blogbar is a free search

Search for Fossett Cut Back

The search for missing millionaire Steve Fossett in Nevada desert was cut back on Monday. The Civil Air Patrol, which had 20 planes and 60 searchers, suspended further flights and left two planes and a small team on standby at the airport here."We don't like to do that. It's against our nature to walk away from a search," Maj. Cynthia Ryan of the Nevada CAP said. "But at some point you have diminishing returns."During the search 28 planes made 245 flights searching for Fossett, 63, who disappeared while flying his plane. Fossett's family reported him missingThe National

Google Images - search only for faces or only for news

Now Google Images allows you to restrict your search to a specific category and one of these categories may well be powered by actual image recognition (as opposed to textual keyword analysis). Right now, the available modes are (at least) the following: show everything (the default old search) show faces show news images Add &imgtype=face OR &imgtype=news to the URL, and Google will show u faces or news photos. This works incredibly well. via

Why ISP’s Spy on You

While using the internet some of your most personal and sensitive information is sent across an Internet Service Provider (ISP) network.. This click stream data includes: every URL you visit search terms you enter in URLs URLs from search engines you enter I recently discovered that government(US) standards now require that ISPs equip their networks to keep a record(s) of real-time surveillance of a target's e-mails, VOIP calls and internet usage -- as well as data like IP address assignment and web URLs.

Google, no way you get respect back!

"Google will destroy enormous tracts of personal information that he holds on internet searches", when did they start to care about user's privacy?Information like who did what search and when was kept "till it can be used", the new policy say, all identifying information will be deleted after 18-24 months. That's cool, but still don't make me feel that I can trust Google, they can anounce whatever they want. I'm sure they are cooperating with US government, just the government want s it official and Google don't want to be an official informant!
