I've never been too vocal about the Tibet movement, probably because of the Dalai Lama's penchant for hanging out with celebrities to get his message across. Emergency Declared in Georgia

Last week protests began in Georgia, people demand the resignation of the acting president Mikhail Saakashvili. Yesterday he declared the state of emergency for 15 days, he also banned all news broadcasts expect state television, expelled three Russian diplomats and declared several embassy employees "persona non grata" And here's a surprise, Mikhail Saakashvili blamed Russia for the unrest. Anti-Sarkozy protests all over the France

France's next president Nicolas Sarkozy, who will take over power on May 16, is on holiday in Malta with his family. Meantime, France was hit by more violent "anti-Sarko" protests and debates. Sarkozy's election raised protests across the country, many of them violent, which began late Sunday.Some 500 people went on a rampage in the Bastille area of Paris on Monday, smashing windows and telephone cabins.
