US Submits Missile Plans

The US seeking to ease the tension with Russian submitted a formal proposal to Russia for cooperation on missile defense in eastern Europe. US also addressed another issue concerning Conventional Forces in Europe and made a proposal that would discourage Moscow from withdrawing from the treaty. Poland Ambassador Wounded in Explosion in Bagdad

A triple bomb attack on the convoy of Poland's ambassador to Iraq has wounded the ambassador Edward Pietrzyk and 3 other people one passerby was killed in the blast, according to Iraq and Polish officials. "The ambassador was injured, but was able to leave the scene himself," Robert Szaniawski, a Polish foreign ministry spokesman, said from Warsaw, the Polish capital. Three cars in the Polish convoy were destroyed in the attack. Witnesses saw a Blackwater helicopter land near the scene soon after the attack.Al
