Two Picasso painting worth millions of dollars have been stolen from the Swiss exhibition after closing time. The exhibition took place at Seedamm-Kulturzentrum in the small town of Pfaeffikon near Zurick.The stolen painting were "Tete de cheval" ("Head of horse") of 1962 and "Verre et pichet" ("Glass and pitcher") of 1944, were on loan from the Sprengel Museum in Hannover, Germany.The German museum promised a reward for assisting the capture of the burglars.

Largest Brittish charity fund The Wellcome Trust, bought a small Picasso painting, performed by Picasso on a wall in 1950. This "scribble" costs $490 000.Starting with June 2007 this work will be exhibited in the new The Wellcome Collection museum centre.The painting is known as "Bernal's Picasso", by the name of physician John Desmond Bernal, who once invitied Picasso to his home.

Police reported, that a portrait of the Picasso daughter, Maya with Doll, and one of his second wife Jacqueline were taken on Monday night with a combined value of 50 million euros (£33.7m). They have been stolen from his granddaughter's home in Paris. There was no evidence of an attempted break-in at the home in the city's seventh arrondissement, police said.
