Antique perfume exhibition was opened in Rome. Parfumers managed to recreate 14 original aromas, traces if which were found in small clay capacities, dating from 4,000 years ago. The capacities were found digging at the Pyrgos-Mavroraki site in Cyprus. The perfumes — named for the Greek goddesses Hera, Athena, Aphrodite and Artemis — are displayed behind glass, with a lid that visitors can lift up to smell the fragrances.
