| I think I'll better explain why is Russia is preparing for the holidays so late. Well, it's because most Russians are orthodox and celebrate Xmas January 7th. First comes New Year ( which is more popular than Xmas) then, a week later Xmas. Actually to be honest, Russians often celebrate both, catholic Xmas and orthodox Xmas.

| The United States has accused Iran of lying to the UN about its intentions to develop its nuclear program, saying Tehran clearly wants the capability to produce atomic weapons. Condoleezza Rice made the accusation as she flew to Moscow to win Russia's support for additional UN sanctions against Iran. | Russian President Vladimir Putin has attended a grand parade in India's capital Delhi as the guest of honour on the country's Republic Day. Indian PM Manmohan Singh and President APJ Abdul Kalam were also attending. Seems that the friendship between two countries is growing stronger.
