Archaeologists found a depiction of goldfinch and bunches of purple grapes painted almost 2 000 years ago beneath an Italian restaurant in the City of London. This find can be considered most significant for two decades. When the Romans stayed in Britain back then, this part of London, where the depiction was found, was considered most prestigious. Experts hope that the entire decorative scheme, believed to have been part of a building demolished after a fire, may eventually be reconstructed. The find will be published tomorrow by London

Thorntons invited passers-by to tuck into the 14.5ft by 9.5ft sign in Covent Garden. The British capital, Reuters report, set out on Tuesday to become the greenest city in the world with a radical climate action plan to cut carbon emissions by 60 percent within 20 years in the battle against global warming.
