| What more can be said of this brief news story? Israel is not planning for any peace deals with the Palestinians in 2008 and that is a sad, sad admission. How can a statement like this do anything but make things worse? When the biggest bully in the region says flat out "peace? well maybe next year" how is that going to stop the rocket attacks or bombings? Here's how: It won't, And that is just fine with the Israeli Government, who apparently believe that peace in the region does not favor them. After all if there is no more fighting then it's hard to justify the $1billion Israel gets

| Israel is reducing power supply to Gaza as par of a plan to severe its economic ties with the territory. They have already cut 5% on one of the 10 power line that supply Gaza. Israel say this is a signal and they will continue the disengagement process and hope the Palestinians will focus on getting new energy sources then making rockets.I seriously doubt that this move will prevent the extremists from making rockets they will soon let the people suffer and continue their production.

| Ah Mossad, is there anything you don't have your fingers into? This not-so-secret spy agency of Israel causes more problems than it solves in my opinion and now they are reporting on the "True" intentions of the Iran Nuclear Program. The Israeli Government is a regional bully that relies on its money and "friends" to pick on the people it kicked out of their own land. If Iran ever became nuclear capable, perhaps Israel would not be so quick to send in armored bulldozers and soldiers in riot gear to attack the Palestinians armed with rocks.SoWhen does Israel plan on declaring their

| Gaza city has plunged into darkness after the power plant was shutdown on Sunday three days after the Israeli fuel blockade. Now 1.5 million Palestinians in Gaza are struggling to cope with power cuts. Hospitals are now on emergency power but it won't hold for long. Patients who need operation and newborn babies in the maternity wards are at risk. Lack of power also affected the bakeries, many has stopped production because they have no power or flour. Pita beard is the main part of Gaza residents' diet. People are eating less meat and dairy products since there's no power for refrigerators.

| As this report shows, Israel is in violation of a UN Security Council Resolution by flying into Lebanese territory. This is not the first time they have done this. Huh, didn't we invade Iraq for UN violations? Oh, right we thought they had WMD too. But then again doesn't Israel have an undeclared nuclear arsenal?Violation of Security Council Resolutions, Weapons of Mass Destruction and a penchant for threatening their neighbors.hmmmm sounds like the Axis of Evil to me. Oh but wait, Israel doesn't have any oil, on to Iran then. How stupid do you think I am US Government? This double-standard

| You are not fooling me George Bush, this is a sad example of trying to tidy up your horrible legacy. With about a year left as President you now try to play peacemaker in the Middle East? Sorry Georgie, you're like the teenager that tries to clean up after the keg party even though the parents have already pulled up in the driveway - you're not getting away with anything. You had two terms to work on this "Road map to Peace" but I guess that is hard to do when you are bombing the hell out of neighboring Iraq and sabre-rattling with Iran. Even the parties involved can't take you seriously

| Independent experts have pinpointed what they believe to be the Euphrates River site in Syria that was bombed by Israel last month, and satellite imagery of the area shows buildings under construction roughly similar in design to a North Korean reactor capable of producing nuclear material for one bomb a year, the experts say.article So why are we giving North Korea fuel to "close down" its reactor when it's shipping the know-how to Syria to build more?
