All the magic has been stripped from reality, science rules, but does not answer all the questions, and now there is no safety net for our souls - we may very well be alone. Nothing is holding back the bad from doing bad and the indifferent from siding on the side of righteousness. We are at the mercy of the corporations, the media and the powers that be and are in reality no freer than our peasant ancestors to do what we want unless we have the money.
