| This July 14, 2008 handout image courtesy of The New Yorker magazine shows the cover of the July 21st issue, entitled 'The Politics of Fear,' in which artist Barry Blitt satirizes the use of scare tactics and misinformation in the Presidential election to derail Barack Obama's campaign. Barack Obama's campaign decried the cover showing Obama wearing Islamic dress while his wife holds a Kalashnikov. | I'm very interested in data, so something like Google Trends is very entertaining for me (might not be the case for everyone). This is a Trends report for the three presidential hopefuls: Obama, Clinton, and McCain. I was inspired by CafePress's charts of Sales and Products created per candidate. They include almost all political hopefuls (including Al Gore). Mine shows the search trends of Google users for the three candidates as well as sub-region stats, and stats for New Jersey (that's where i live).

| Hillary and Obama really went at it in this video of the South Carolina Democratic debate. Wow, it's getting personal and the Clinton's are starting to show their true colors - which apparently is White Trash. Hey I love Bubba for his foreign policy moves and his economic genius, but if the Clintons were living below the poverty line they would be the types of people that would run into your car to sue you or pretend to slip on a wet supermarket floor. These kinds of attacks are making Obama look even better and making Hillary look like "more of the same" from Washington. While Obama

| I'm not saying that I will vote for Barack Obama, but if my vote hangs on an a candidate's potential, then he has the best chance. Having Oprah support him is a sin I cannot forgive but out of all the choices we have in this Hometown Buffet of an election, Obama is one of the few candidates from either party that does not looked picked over.More to the point - any one of the candidates could be an average president, thanks GW Bush for lowering the bar! Some of them could be good presidents. But in my mind only Barack Obama has the potential, however small, of becoming a great President. He

| Well the first test of the Presidential election is over, and pundits like Tim Russert are ready to call the race for Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee. The way they are talking on the news this morning you'd think it was the last primary, not the first caucus. Once again the media is hyping this thing up to overblown proportions, that is until the New Hampshire Primary.Take a look at Hillary's situation - Russert and others are saying that losing in Iowa is a "huge Blow" to her chances. How? Look back to the 1992 Presidential Race: Bill Clinton did not even campaign in Iowa (Tom Harkin's

| May 14, 2007 A Quiet Prayer For Democracy By Fareed Zakaria O ver the past five years, President Bush has made various efforts to reform the Arab world. They have all stumbled over one enormous obstacle. In the region, the people who win elections are not democrats. They seem to believe in elections (at least as long as they win), but not in the individual rights, laws and traditions that create a genuine liberal democracy. The administration has pushed for elections in Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon and Egypt, only
