Stop if you heard this one: California is heading for a huge earthquake.in 30 years. While I do not doubt that the Golden State will someday slide into the Pacific, hopefully taking the Lindsay Lohans and Paris Hiltons of the world with it, but excuse me if I scoff at the prediction made by the scientific community as both alarmist and useless. Fires in California

For a week now fires have been raging all over California. Firemen are trying to take things under control, but for now this doesn't seem possible. I've seen some very moving reports on TV where people with tears in their eyes were saying they had lost everything. The governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger (hope i spelled it right) said that everyone who had suffered from the fires will get compensations and help. Hope it's true, and things won't go like in New Orleans.

All the snow missing in Europe went to the US

Sudden snowfall in California mountains north from Los Angeles made one of the main routes impassable. Last registered snowfall here was in January 1962.Snow and ice in Malibu, Santa Monica caused total mayhem. Local inhabitants say that they haven't seen anything like that for more than 20 years.
