| U.S. President George W. Bush signed a bill Tuesday which removes former South African President Nelson Mandela from a U.S. terrorism watch list. Mandela and other members of the African National Congress (ANC) have been on the list because of their fight against South Africa's apartheid regime, which gave way to majority rule in 1994. | US House approved a war funding bill with a timeline to withdraw the troops from Iraqand less funds for the war. Only $50 billion instead of $200 billion which Bush wanted. The bill states that the primary use of the money is US forces redeployment. The vote was close 218 to 203. 15 democrats voted against it but 4 republicans for it. You might say it's a 50/50 vote and Bush can has the power to veto the bill.Bush vetoed a similar measure in May. But the Democratic leaders of the House and Senate say if the president vetoes this bill, the administration will have to divert money from elsewhere

| Well, a hamster that went missing after escaping from its cage in the boot of a car has done just that. Its owners thought it had died when they couldn't find it, but the hamster was alive and well and busy chewing through the car seats and wiring! He was found tucking into his unusual feast by a mechanic who was trying to find out why the car wouldn't start. He said the family were relieved to get their pet back in one piece, but shocked at the cost of the car repairs which were more than £1,000.
