Ancient Mickey Mouse

Archeologists at Sweden's Lund Historical Museum found little something, which looks remarkably similar to Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse. The object, dated to 900 A..D., was excavated at a site called Uppåkra in southern Sweden.Archeologists note that the author was trying to make a lion.

Grapes under City of London

Archaeologists found a depiction of goldfinch and bunches of purple grapes painted almost 2 000 years ago beneath an Italian restaurant in the City of London. This find can be considered most significant for two decades. When the Romans stayed in Britain back then, this part of London, where the depiction was found, was considered most prestigious. Experts hope that the entire decorative scheme, believed to have been part of a building demolished after a fire, may eventually be reconstructed. The find will be published tomorrow by London

Anicent Jewish city found

Workers digging a new Jerusalem tram line have stumbled upon the remains of an ancient Jewish city from the first century AD under what is now a Palestinian suburb of the Holy City.Archaeologists are frantically working to unearth the nameless settlement that lies beneath the bustling streets of the Shuafat neighbourhood before they have to bury it again in order to lay tracks for a long-planned light rail line. Discovered tombs in Egypt are just one third of the remainder
