For the past week or so the top story on most news sites the main topic was and is swine flu. I have to admin this is refreshing from the constant waves of bad news about the world economic crisis. Even though the news is refreshing I don't really understand how it became world's top story.
159 Mexicans died from A disease and only a few deaths were confirmed to have been caused by the swine flu. So I don't get what's all the fuss is about. So compared to the regular flu, swine flu is just a minor cold. Regular flu kills about (because there's no way of knowing the exact number) 500,000 people each year, that's half of million! To me, that should be the main topic not some illness that is less contageous and less deadly then the regular flu. Unless people start dying by the thousands from swine flu I don't consider this a dangerous illness.
