Support the Fight against the Ad Tax - Ways to Help

Since we in Colorado have returned to our businesses we are relieved to know that the Anti-Affiliate language was removed from our bill, but other states are now attempting to pass this misguided and (IMHO) illegal action. What can affiliates in other states do to help? I have been doing some thinking on this and come up with some ideas.
The PMA is busy organizing the affiliates in several states right now so they are stretched thin, and since we in Colorado (or other non-affected states) cannot or should not write directly to representatives and senators in other states, we can do other effective things.For one thing we can display the badge you see on my front page. Here it is to just copy if you want to use it, or go to this photobucket for a size you prefer.

Oppose The AD TAX
You can blog against the affiliate nexus issue and mention the unfairness of it, the misunderstanding behind it and history of where it started. Give your opinion on your own blog and on the blogs and articles comment areas of other blogs and news articles. Twitter about it with the hashtag #noadtax and #advertisingtax and #affiliatetax to get it noticed by lots of other active affiliates.
Keep writing and talking about it. I am dedicating a certain amount of my morning each day to this supportive effort. I hesitate to write or interact with legislators in other states simply due to the possibility of being outside of the organized communications already happening in those states. We might mean well, but could inadvertently do harm to the affiliates in those states by saying the wrong thing in the wrong way.We followed the PMA in Colorado and got a good result, so I do believe they know how to orchestrate these campaigns. I am just continuing to publish a barrage of anti-Ad Tax material every day. Until someone tells me differently, that is what I will do.
Let's go forward and defeat this terrible Ad Tax wherever it appears. It is against the constitution, against past legal precedents and is anti-small business. Keep up the fight!Performance Marketing Association Blog Updates
