Subway in Barcelona turned into gallery

Joan Miro Artwork in Barcelona Subway

At the Barcelona Metro is exhibited the reproduction of famous Catalan artist Joan Miro.

The reproductions can be seen on transitions on metro stations in Barcelona before 23 March.

8 stations are transformed into real art gallery. The center of this exhibition will be the Merce Hall on metro station Diagonal.

The other stations of exhibition will be Catalonia, the Liceu, Drassanes, Parallel, Spain, Tarragona, Jaume and Urkinaona.

In the presented reproductions of works by the master and some photos there are a connection of the author with Catalonia and France.

The exposition titled “Joan Miro: Notes” is organized by Joan Miro fund in conjunction with Barcelona Metropoliten. The organizers wanted to familiarize citizens with the work of the artist.

This exhibition is in addition to an exhibition of works by Joan Miro, which takes place in Barcelona till 18 March.
