Stuntman Killed While Filming ‘Expendables 2′

A tragic accident took place on the set of “The Expendables 2″, a sequel being shot in various locations in Bulgaria.

According to media reports, one stuntman was killed and another was critically injured while filming a scene involving an explosion for the beefed-up sequel.

The movie’s production company, Nu Image/Millennium Films, issued a statement acknowledging the death and promising to cooperate with a police inquiry:

“Our hearts go out to the families and those on the production affected by this tragedy. The filmmakers are working closely with the authorities in responding to and investigating this accident.”

The incident took place outside the capital city of Sofia, under the supervision of a second unit team.

Producer Sylvester Stallone and director Simon West were working in a town a few hours away at the time of the accident.
