Episode 11.5 is available now. 11.5 sheds some light on two other episodes already within the game. Its a revelation of sorts. It's the first of several DLCs to come for the game. This game Journey, made by ThatGameCompany, has made huge waves in the gaming industry. It has become the fastest selling game on PSN by far. That says a lot for the eclectic gaming company who has made other great titles such as Flower and Flow. They have forgone the traditional styles of game creation have drifted to a more creative and emotional path. They're goal is to get the gamer to feel the experience. I'm pondering whether or not I should buy it right now. It's either that or the...

Check out gameplay from the new Forces of Nature DLC. The DLC includes three new maps Aftermath, Artillery, and Cove. The DLC also brings back two previous popular maps from the Gears of War franchise, Jacinto and Raven Down.
Forces of Nature isn't just a name for the Gears of War branded DLC. You'll engage in battle with old enemies and fight in tough weather environments like snowstorms, fog, and tsunamis. You'll also get four new characters and 7 new weapon skins. There are also ten more...

Finally another third person shooter I can play besides Gears of War! Don't get me wrong the FPS shooters like MW3 and Battlefield 3 are great but they're in first person. I'm not a big fan of FPS games. I only really play if my friends get me to join in. They don't even offer the Third person view. I love the third person view because then you can see everything around you. The FPS view believe it or not feels unnatural to me. It always has. I'm more comfortable in third. RockStar has...

This game reminds me of the old school space shooter Super R Type for the Super Nintendo back in the day. It also reminds me of several others that I used to play when I was a kid. This particular game has a twist though. Instead of all the space baddies taking you out your date of the dance of death is with time. You have to keep killing space baddies to increase your time in order to survive. Now that makes the game very interesting. I'm glad games like this haven't totally disappeared....

A couple of weeks ago I put up a video from Quantic Dream, the makers of Heavy Rain, as a blog post. The video featured a character named Kara, an android created for human use. The video was featured at the GDC 2012. The Kara feature was created to test out Quantic Dreams latest game engine they had developed. Now they've posted their latest video on how that whole concept was produced from start to finish. It's a very interesting process involving motion capture.
Motion capture is no...

It's been a while since I've played a Mickey Mouse game. I can't really say that I would like to play one now but I'm still a fan of the little and so are many other gamers who enjoyed last year's Disney Epic Mickey. Now Disney Epic Mickey 2 is just right around the corner. Watch as X-Play's Blair Herter gets the details on this upcoming release. PS3 Games - E3 2012 - Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two

The announcement of a new Assassin's Creed game was surprising to me. It came relatively pretty quick after the release of Assassin's Creed Revelations. As we've all noticed lately sequels haven't really been developers strong point as of late. With Capcom's lackluster attempt at the Resident Evil title Raccoon City and Team Ninja's underdeveloped Ninja Gaiden 3, oh yeah and BioWare's mediocre and un climatic ending to Mass Effect 3, gamers as of late have been a bit discouraged about what's...

Here we are again voting for who should be on the coveted Madden cover. It seems like it was just yesterday that I blogged about the Madden 12 cover vote. Time sure does fly when your having fun. I've only played Madden 12 a hand full of times since then too. I love the game don't get me wrong but it has to share its time amongst the other 40 games I have. It got its fair share. It was always my check down game for when I was bored.
If you check out ESPN Sportsnation you'll find the voting...

Check out the visual imagery of Max Payne 3. One of the nice features in this game is that there are no loading screens. The game just seamlessly transitions to the next scene or level. The game really puts you in the forefront of the action making feel immersed in the environments. In Layman's terms, you are Max Payne in this game.
