My family is back to normal health now after the Spring Cold and stomach flu gave us a hard time for two weeks ago. I almost got an ear infection myself especially when my sinusitis is acting up. I am not sure if the flu shot would help us if we took it last December. But we didn’t so maybe our bodies are very vulnerable enough to the sudden weather change from Winter and Spring. I will make sure we won’t skip it this December, especially that we are thinking to travel abroad after New Year...

The article written by Alonso Kramer There are so many texas electricity providers in my area – I had no idea how to handle all this utility stuff. I just bought my first house and boy, it’s already a whole lot more complicated than renting, I can tell you that! I love that this place is all mine and that I can decorate it any way I want and whatnot but just having to set up cable and trash pickup and lawn care and all that is a big deal – I’ve spent three days just making phone calls and...

Spring cleaning was invented to bring the fresh, new world that is emerging outdoors into the home that has been closed, heated and stuffy all winter. For some people, spring cleaning is great fun and a satisfying job. For others, it is a chore that needs to be done, but may be put off until the middle of summer. With a few tips to make the work easier and a little organization, spring cleaning can be done in no time, whether you like it or not. 1. Get Organized Take some time to make a list...

When I was young, my father encourages us to do gardening. He always teased me because my plants don’t grow well and I probably don’t have a green thumb. I am impressed of him when it comes to gardening skills especially there was that one time that our mango tree did not bear lots of leaves and he was hoping we can harvest mangoes from it. He was determined to bring it to life. I saw him everyday he waters the tree and...

There are people who were born with the uncanny ability to take care of plants. No matter what they plant, these seeds come to full bloom. It seems as if gardening runs in their blood. What’s even more astonishing is that these people with green thumbs can still manage to work their magic on plants, trees, and flowers even if these are withered already. In fact, they can bring to life a whole flower garden without breaking sweat. Then there are those people who expressed that they don’t have...

Our Baby Vincent just turned 9 months old yesterday. We are cheering hep hep hurray for our jolly baby ! Oh, a month ago was hard for him because he’s teething. He had those days that he has high body temperature and he was just in the irritable mood. Mommy can’t concentrate when he keeps on crying most of the time (and those short nights of sleep). I thought his being irritable was because of my lack of producing breast milk for him, but it was very much likely because of his teething. He...

Last February 21, my youngest daughter celebrated her twentieth birthday in our house. As usual, she invited her closest friends. Most of the visitors were girls and a few boys. After they eat their dinner, I noticed that there was a guy who brought an electric guitar with him. It came into my knowledge that they will be singing with the accompaniment of the electric guitar. They told me that my youngest daughter will be playing the electric guitar. She said she needs the help of the guy to...

Thanks for the guest post by Eugene Fulton My boyfriend and I just moved in together, and it has been an adjustment for both of us. We are doing well for only living together for a few weeks, but I never thought that living with a guy would be so hard! We dated for over a year before we thought it was time to move in together. I thought I knew everything about him, but I was wrong. He can’t stand it that I spend so long in the bathroom, and I cannot get used to his obsession with DIRECTV...

I just had my obstetrics appointment last month and they found out that the skin in some parts of my body like my upper arms, upper legs and back has unexplained occurrence of inflamed follicles. They asked me since when did it appeared and I told them it was there after I had my first born until now. They asked me of symptoms, and I told them its itchy sometimes and they become red and bumpy when I rub it. They think this is just a skin problem that is not contagious as it is not spreading...

Last month, my husband, George, and my brother in law met each other during their visit to their home place. They were so happy exchanging pleasantries with each other as they talked about their respective work. My hubby asked my brother in law about his job being a mechanical engineer. His brother told him that he is exposed to the actual maintenance of their plant. George asked in return if he is equipped with gloves like tillman gloves to protect his hands. My brother in law responded that...

It was in 2008 that we my husband decided to sell his 17 years old Toyota Corolla car. He couldn’t let go of it at first but he decided to do it as there were too many fixations that came one after another and it would be the right thing to do to just spend the money that he had for a new car. That year, we also bought our new house under a mortgage plan before he sold his old car. He overlooked the future fixations especially the need of a new car after we got the house and that he took all...

As for our wedding souvenir gifts, we ordered lots simple...

We are planning to get a bigger car for our family. Do you have brand suggestion in mind of what van’s these days are good and can accommodate 6 to 7 passengers inside? It’s not that we are a big family as there are only 4 of us but we are thinking that we might have another baby and that we can have my mother in law and bro in law to ride with us when we have long trips. We are living in a small city where we have to drive 1 and a half to 2 hours to a big city and visit our relatives and...

It is of utmost importance that you know your rights as a consumer, you are paying for the items and services you purchased, after all, and it is only fair that there is something you can do like you bought a car that has mechanically damaged on you in 3 times in a row of short periods of time, for poor quality or some other reasons, or you are not satisfied with the services you have been provided by the repair if their repairing attempt is failure after failure. Most states have laws and...

Our winter days is getting colder again. The temperature in Fahrenheit outside is in the 30′s again. For my husband it is still warm but for me, my Asian body easily get wilted when it gets colder. I wish we could build one of those sunrooms that would extend at the left side of our house where it is facing north. I heard that a proper location of where a sunroom should be in a house is that it should be located in the northern part of the house where it could get most of the sun whole day...
