One year has quickly gone by, and we are now due for Football Manager 2012 ! It will be released on the 21st of October 2011. Sports Interactive will probably release 2 versions of demo again, and I will be downloading the strawberry version to try out once again (if you guys do not know, strawberry version means it has more features than the vanilla counterpart). It should be fun because there are so many new features to explore around once again. On top of that, I should be playing...

I have been only given a small budget after the transfer window, but free transfer was still available. I only realised Michael Rensing was a free transfer in my game when his agent came knocking on the door to find out whether I am interested for a goalkeeper. Michael Rensing (GK) Who on earth will refuse a goalkeeper like him for nPower Championship league? The downsides to Michael Rensing in technical skills are his aerial ability, command of area and communication. I would prefer these...

Hi guys, I have disappeared for a very long while, and I will attempt to bore you with my life for a little while. A lot has happened in these past months, where I was working as a web developer and now I am a software engineer focusing on SEO and social media marketing for CBS Interactive. If you do not know, CBS Interactive manages the website Gamespot, a well-known website for game news and reviews. Hence a bulk of my time was dedicated to my work, and I really had fun. I was thinking of...

Leicester is a club I am looking to beat because we suffered a lost at Stoke just the previous match and we are looking to bounce back into our winning ways. This will be an uphill match because we are playing away, and many of my players are worn out by the multitude of matches recently. I had to get my youngsters to cover the wings because my usual wingers, Matt Ritchie and Liam Lawrence, are too tired to play here. Portsmouth was going into this match with good confidence because we have been doing well in the nPower Championship league in the recent matches and we were hoping to secure a win against Stoke City, which is currently in Premier League. You can go to the home page of this blog to see our league standing at the moment, which is a widget I have written to showcase my FM 2011 game. We were underdogs in this match but we had home advantage, which can be vital in any match ups. Stoke played a...

Anyway today is Christmas Eve in my country, so I guess the thumbnail on the left is just to celebrate the season. I was wondering if my presentation on my FM 2011 games were a little bit cheesy and hence I decided to use this match as a gauge to see if my change of presentation will suit your viewing pleasure. So instead of the usual hiding from you about the scoreline, instead I revealed it and commentate as how a newscaster would. Turns out that not many of you really like the...

It is finally around Christmas and seasons greetings for everyone! I wish you for all of you a great celebration and a better year ahead! I am doing some revamp on my blog, just hiring someone to create logos and icons for my blog. Will let you know soon enough since I will be meeting the person on Tuesday! Just a heads up on the broken down hard disk which I was talking about in the video – I finally retrieved the data and it cost me about 450 bucks! Ouch! This match against Millwall is a must win because we are playing on our home ground, and they do not seem to be a very strong team at the moment. I thought of going all out since we are at home, but I was aware that my back four is currently weak since my captain Aaron Mokoena is currently sidelined for injury. I had to put Sam Magri into the...

Neymar, born in 5th of February 1992, is a Brazil football player who currently plays as a striker at Brazilian club Santos. He did feature in the Brazilian national team as well. Neymar had been rewarded as the best player for the Brazilian Cup in 2010 and his performances had attracted many big European clubs such as Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United. Henri George Lansbury is an English football player, born in 12 October 1990, and he is currently playing for Arsenal. In real life he plays midfield or in goal, and he was known to be highly regarded by Arsene Wenger. In the Football Manager game series, Sports Interactive rates Henri Lansbury differently every year for his potential. However his current abilities have been consistent and he should be a player that you should look out for since he is a prospective wonderkid. Start of 1st...

I wanted to do a post yesterday but somehow my web host was down a little and I had to put it off till today. Stuff like that do happen every now and then and if you want to know my updates, do check out my page or my to find out about my status if my blog does not seem to load for any apparent reason. Bristol City has David James as their goalkeeper, a former Portsmouth player. Beyond him they are not exactly very strong at the moment and I am hoping for a good win at their home ground....

Federico Macheda is an Italian football player whose position is a striker for Manchester United currently. He was formerly from Lazio but as he was not permanently tied to Lazio at the beginning, Manchester United snapped him up shortly after his 16th birthday. Federico Macheda scored some crucial goals for Manchester United, even though he is not playing very regularly. He is touted to become a great striker in future. I remember in FM 2008, Federico Macheda ‘s potential was not so great,...

Some people were asking me about the my Staff Ratings Calculator and to improve it. Have not gotten down to it as often as I should because of my new job and I am currently learning so many things at one time.
However to my surprise for FM 2011 they did not change anything much about the ratings of coaches for each training category, except that they removed set pieces for individual trainings and set it as a team preparation training instead. I like the direction of how set pieces should be trained right now.

I know it is kind of weird just putting a “game 3″ at the back of the title, but I need it so that I am not lost over my own game. Especially when FM 2011 is at its early stages and they will be many posts on FM 2011 in near future. Hull is one of the better teams in the nPower Championship, since they were just recently relegated with Portsmouth and still has some punch to be at the top half of the league table. Moreover they loaned some good youths such as Jose Baxter from Everton and John...

Our first home match of the season and we are playing the League Cup competition, or the equivalent Carling Cup in real life. Somehow FM 2011 still does not have license to the name of several competitions. Portsmouth is touted as favourites for this match as Shrewbury is in a league that is weaker than us. I was somewhat confident into the match and hence I substituted many young players from my squad in order to try to get them some match fitness. FM 2011 Portsmouth vs Shrewbury League Cup...
