Yes there has been a bit of a gap between this post and my previous one. But things have been busy on the writing front.
It has made me question whether trying to slot my writing blog somewhere into my day is really the best way to do things. Do you have trouble fitting in your own tasks when it comes to the rest of your writing?
Of course, client work must take priority. But there is nothing wrong with trying to find a way to fit certain other tasks into your working day. And that is why I have decided to start the week with a blog post, instead of adding it to the bottom of my list. You

The more you know and understand about keywords and search engine optimisation, the more money you are likely to be able to make as an online writer.
This is because there are thousands upon thousands of website owners and affiliate marketers online who want to promote their wares. But they don’t have the skills to be able to write good articles themselves. Many of them don’t have the time either – they would prefer to pay the money to get professional writers to create proper SEO articles on their behalf.
But one thing these potential clients DO know about is keywords. They will come to you

I have tried one or two writing forums in the past and I have never personally got much out of them. I’m not sure whether I simply haven’t found the best ones, or whether I just prefer reading blogs and interacting with people on those.
But if you Google the term ‘writing forums’ you certainly get a lot of results coming back at you. 77.9 MILLION results to be more precise. I’m sure some of them are very good – particularly for beginning writers who need some support and advice – but I have never had good experiences myself.

Now I finished work early today and I was really in the mood for doing some writing for ME for a change. So I got my thinking cap on and published three brand new hubs in a fairly short space of time. Here they are:
Using Google Reader to help you find online writing jobs – this is about a technique I use to keep abreast

Let’s face it, we all love long term writing jobs. They offer a degree of safety you don’t get if every writing job you have lasts for just a few short articles. It’s good to have a mix of different article jobs and blog posts and so on, but having some long term work in the mix as well offers a degree of stability.
And I think I may have broken my record on this one this week. I have agreed to write a 52 week course for a new client. So that means I have to deliver one part each week for the next year. Overall it will be a good payment and even each individual part will
