Heavy Metal Gamer: Frogger Review: A brand new review, and quite long as well. I review the arcade version, and some of the ports. I also debut my brand new intro, yes its a little longer then the last one, but I thought it was pretty cool. So I hope you enjoy this review, and thanks for watching!

Let us talk about Capcom here for a moment before we get to the actual game. Yes, they are a great company that has come out with some amazing games over the past 25 or more years they have been around. They have or had amazing franchises like Bionic Commando, Ghost and Goblin, Street Fighter, the multiple of other fighting franchises, Resident Evil, and most importantly, Megaman. They do know how to make awesome games and make new ones with some help, like Okami, Viewtiful Joe, and to some...

This week’s review has a continuing theme from my review of Kameo: Elements of Power. It is a theme of great companies that have fallen. This week, we focus on a company that was popular back in the day, but is now a just a laughing stock amongst gamers, Silicon Knights! Once again, for those who don’t know, they were famous for their horror survival game, Eternal Darkness. It was one of the biggest cult classics back then, even though it doesn’t particularly age well today. After that, they...

If you don’t know by last week’s review of X-Men Destiny, Silicon Knights did not impress me. It is possibly the worst game I ever played, but that dubious honor may still go to Xaolin Shodown for the PS2. I mean, in X-Men Destiny, there is not one single original bone in that game’s body. Once again, the only redeeming factor is Nightcrawler’s design and the two boss fights with Magneto and the Sentinel. However, the rest of the game sucks. It’s graphically ugly, the combat is boring and...

Action RPG games can be fun, can’t they? Of course, it all depends on the people making the games to result in them being good or not. For example, the Tales team always puts out a high quality action RPG like Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Graces F. On the other hand, Lionhead Studios, who makes the Fable games, keeps hyping them to no end, resulting in them being terrible games with some decent ideas, but just nothing creative or innovative. You would think they would learn from their...

Heavy Metal Gamer: Kirby's Block Ball Review: Brand new review, and I want to apologize for the audio of the gameplay not syncing up with the footage. I caught it a little too late, and I wasn't going to cancel this review. Hopefully you don't mind. Yes this review is a little bit short compared to the others, but sometimes there will be reviews that will be short.I hope you enjoy it, thanks for watching.

Oh, dear gravy lord we are finally here. Sadly, for some reason, people still think Final Fantasy 13 is a GOOD GAME. Did I miss something here? Did the brain aliens from Futurama come down and make everyone stupid and I didn’t notice? Were people bribed by Square Enix to say it was good? I don’t fully know, but man, Final Fantasy 13 was one of the more disappointing games I have ever played in the series. Sure, it had good combat elements and wonderful graphics, but that was pretty much it....

The Darkness is a rather dark and very creepy looking comic book by Marc Silvestri, Garth Ennis, and David Wohl. Near the end of the first decade in the 2000’s, they released a game based off the license, simply called The Darkness. It did well, even though it had a weak multiplayer and weak boss fights. It did however have a great single-player experience with some rather dark moments in the game, like the main character seeing his girlfriend get shot in the head in front of him and then...

Welcome back to DLC Domination! Today, I decided to cover a fan favorite DLC game. Not only is it an awesome DLC game, it’s a movie-based DLC game. I know that sounds crazy, but hear me out. Yeah, most licensed games suck and there are a lot of good examples like Charlie’s Angels, E.T, and you get the idea, but this one is good. I mean there is a small movement that some games based on movie license are doing better now. A lot of people seem to really enjoy the Back to the Future games from...

To me, being a reviewer can be troublesome. You generally want to stick with games you specialize in and review games that are mostly easy to approach to the modern gamer. I usually want to review stuff like action games, platformers, and RPG’s, since I think those are easier to approach. I have however, been very biased toward a couple of genres like shooters and sport centric games, and this year I want to change all that. Like I said in my WWE All Stars review, I don’t hate them, but they...
