Being a home maker, I like to buy and receive practical stuff especially for my kitchen. I believe most women do love to receive gifts that are useful in their homes. And yes, I am hinting this as a simple tip to husbands, and others out there who are thinking what to give as a present for their Moms on Mother’s Day which is seven weeks away from today. Any kind of kitchen accessories will do, like kitchen towels, personalized mugs, bread basket and anything practical as long as it comes from...

Last Friday, the weather was unusual and the clouds are gray, while I was looking at my window to see if I can do some yard work outside. It was raining hail for like 1 to 3 minutes. I was surprised because I have never seen such clear hails on our driveway like that. There was a slush and the ground was wet after it happened. When I came out to take pictures of my daffodils in the afternoon yesterday, most of the flower stems got bent. I am sad to see my tulip buds were affected as well. But...

To get better results in your garden and your potted plants, you will need to prepare your native soil with proper cultivation, drainage and fertilizing. You will also need to sketch what kind of garden you have in mind for this year especially to where you want to locate your plants. As for my case, I am following the advice of my brother in law that I should begin sowing seeds indoors this week and get some outdoor soil...

This is our cat tiger. She lives in my mother in law’s house. She has been the Cole’s cat since 2005 and she is still a young cat. We know she is still young because unlike the other family cat named Snoball, she knows how to groom herself and leave little gifts in the door step that she is keeping her duty as a cat by catching little critters that she finds inside the house. She’s a darling cat because she seeks attention and be caressed. We love our dear tabby cat “Tiger” and we hope to...

Wohoo! Spring is here at last! It is a joyous feeling for us here in the NorthEastern part of America where it snows half a year and sometimes it feels like it just won’t come to an end especially when we have lots of snow storms and heavy winter months. So seeing just a tiny little flower in the ground and red young buds on the tree branches, brings delight to eyes and relief to our hearts! I hope that this year, our surroundings will bring good harvest and blessings to our household....

I remember I my Dad in law used to chase away their cat from sleeping on his pot of shamrocks. He said that plant is so dear to him because my Mother in law gave that to him during a Saint Patrick’s day. I observed the plant and I noticed that it has pretty heart shaped foliage in it. I asked my Mom in law on what is the name of the plant. She said they are shamrocks, a kind of clover, and is a significant symbol in Ireland and all Irish people. She said Dad’s parents are both Irish and that...

I miss the taste of the jack fruit. In my childhood years, I love eating jack fuit. The flesh is really juicy and tasty. You will taste
the sweetness of the fruit. One more thing, sugar found in fruits is called fructose. I remember eating its flesh that a single flesh I ate reminds me eating 3 spoon of table sugars. So very sweet. Both my father and mother love also eating jack fruit. So my father planted jack fruit tree in his garden. This tree is I think 1 year old. Its hard for this...

acid and poison. Past generations have known the great nutritive and curative value of carrot through practical use, while science today
has discovered more of its curative power. Searching for vitamins and mineral...

Backing up your computer files is not a hard thing to do. It may be tedious at first but you’ll get the hang of it once practiced. It is advisable to you have to back up your computer once every week and the least is once every month. You can back up your computer with these simple steps:
> Use blank DVDs or CDs to back up your digital photos or images. This might sound like traditional method of backing up photos. Store them in a protective case.
> My husband says USB is not for a long time...

Have you noticed your crocus, daffodils and tulips foliage emerging from the ground this week? I almost panicked of the ones I saw in my garden. I thought these days is too early for them to emerge like that. I noted in the past 2 years that I planted them in the ground, they usually show up on the end of March to April. This year, they just emerge like a snap of a finger for like 2 inches above the ground after a few days that February has ended already. I even saw the ones in my mom in...

My youngest baby is turning 9 months this 9th. I am feeling emptiness in my breast to produce milk for him lately. As a Mom, I’m worried for the nutrition of my baby. I noticed that he’s not fully satisfied after each breastfeeding. And so we went to the store and was surprised of the prices of the formula milk. The cheapest that you can get is around $15 bucks and the expensive one is around $25. A big can of it can be consumed by one baby for 3 weeks. And I came back to a solution that I...
