Facebook already shares its Law Enforcement Guidelines publicly, but we’ve never actually seen the data Menlo Park sends over to the cops when it gets a formal subpoena for your profile information. Now we know. This appears to be the first time we get to see what a Facebook account...

Think the bullshit with SOPA, PIPA and ACTA is over? Nope. Welcome the new legislation, CISPA to the club of retarded legislations! The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) allows companies to collect information about people and give it to the US government in the name of cyber security. “While Apple generates more than $575 in profit for every iOS device, and according to estimates in 2007 Apple earned more than $800 on every iPhone sold through ATT, Horace Dediu reports that Android generated less than $550m in revenues for Google between 2008 and the end of 2011, earning only $1.70 per year, per Android device — explaining how Apple is sucking up two thirds of the profit in the mobile phone business. Dediu’s starting point is a settlement offer Google made to Oracle of...

First of i want to say, the government isnt RFID tagging everyone to keep track of people, that is a ridiculus claim. RFID chips cant hold very much data and need to be fairly close to be scanned. (However your phone is a better target for stuff like that…) Anyway, there might be reasons to want to check if things are marked with an RFID tag. Maybe on clothes you bought that set of alarms in stores, or check if a buscard is broken.. Either way here is an open source RFID sniffer, to check if...

This new service called Worddesk lets you create a portable Windows installation that you can then save on just about any storage anywhere: USB stick, external hard drive, iPod, Blackberry, Android – yes, it is even possible to place Windows in the cloud via Dropbox. Which (if it works well) might give us something similar to Googles Chrome OS but with windows capabilities. So far you can only run Windows setup from a computer running Windows XP or Windows 7. I’ve been sent this awesome app for ios devices that lets you stream audio from your computer to your IOS device. This is especially great since the headphone output on my laptop is broken, once again enabling me to use headphones. And i’ve got to say it works really well. I did have one problem though, it needs for the microsoft wasabi plugin to be at 41khz 16bit to be a ble to stream, and since my computer couldnt use this option (most likely due to a bug) i couldnt use it at once. But once...
