Check this out, a polaroid camera in a turtle shell, how cool can that be?
P.S. no turtles were harmed in the making, only natural causes of death. Not long ago photographer Jason Bognacki took a vintage 1926 Piccolette Contessa-Nettel folding camera and mount it together with a Canon 5D. The results of his experiment is unexpectedly great, absolutely marvelous photos are made with that “Frankenstein” camera. Turtle cameras, Canon hybrids, check out this amazing and at the same time...

Springtime is special for everyone, but it means even more for people who love bicycles. For us it’s also an important moment for another reason. It’s the end of a long journey that lead us to the creation of the second collection of Creme bicycles. As always, we have put in our whole heart and a lot of work to make sure that every minute spent with the bike – whether on it, or beside it – will be pure pleasure for the eyes, the soul and the body. This unique creation was originally designed by Dominic Wilcox in 2002. Each bowl is hand made from plastic soldier figures and only available in small numbers. Each bowl is unique and comes with a loose set of the soldiers that were used in it’s creation. War bowl is made by melting historically accurate plastic soldiers from past battles. The red Battle of Waterloo bowl is made with melted British Artillery and French Infantry figures. The black English Civil War bowl uses Royalists and...

That’s what I call “Thinking Outside the Box”, Oscar Lhermitte wanted to experiment and attached his point-n-shoot camera to an electric drill. He made a cool, short video by turning on the drill and spinning the camera. The video came out with very interesting circular color patterns. I don’t actually know where you can use this method, but I’m sure if you “Think Outside the Box” you’ll make it useful for some cooler stuff you can come up with.

Every winter’s day Simon Beck puts on his snowshoes and goes for a walk on the frozen lakes of Savoie, France. After 5-9 hours of wandering through on the snow, his footprints form clear geometrical shaped patterns as large as 3 football fields. The most interesting thing about those patterns is that they start to look 3D-ish from the bird’s eye view.
Simon started his snow artist’s career after he injured both legs while he was free riding. The only painless physical exercise he was able to...

I remember the days when me and my bike were inseparable. That was a long time ago. Ahh, memories. Now, a German company has made a cool bike called the Bergmönch which you can take on your trips like a neat backpack. Folding it takes only 2 minutes.
This is super cool because carrying your bike uphill is so much easier when it’s in the form of a backpack than dragging it along yourself. When you need a bike to go down the hill all you need to do is unpack it and off you go. Source

We’ve seen a lot of people building their own houses made from all sorts of stuff and it’s never boring seeing how creative people can be. This time we’ll take a look at Simon Dale’s hobbit house.
Using only natural materials Simon built this house with his father-in-law and the help of random people who wanted to give a hand. It took 1000-1500 man hours and $5,000 from start to finish.
Some key points of the design and construction:

Lamps are made of Senegalese gourd. The pattern of the lamp is structure of symetric, crossing branching as from the perforated layer through three basic outer forms to the deeper light carvings. White surfaces are deeper layer of wood which allow some light to pass through it. Although the thickness of gourd mostly don’t exceed 4mm the carved patterns in that places create structure of three different depth. Each one shines with different intensity. source

If you’re old enough to remember the VW campervan then you’re going to love this VW campervan tent. It’s a full scale copy of the van with enough room for 4 people and you can stand upright in there, unlike the actual VW van itself, lol. Those things are tiny! Sold at $475 it’s a bit pricey. Alright, it’s a lot but it’ll find it’s fans. I guess if you have 475 bucks and want a VW campervan tent then it’s just want you need. In case you are wondering it comes in 3 colors – red, yellow and...
