I called this an experimental recipe because I used chocolate chip oatmeal from Quaker. I bought the individual boxed oatmeal to eat, however, the taste wasn't appealing to me. Instead of tossing the rest out ( I had quite a bit of package left of it) I decided to see if it would work in making cookies. Ingredients 1 cup butter, softened 1 cup packed light brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 6...

Biscuits - I make them once in a while, but they don't come out as yummy as I would like Cookies - The same with the biscuits, I'll make them, but they are ok. Marshmallows - looks fun to make...

However, when doing so, tiny pieces of the egg shell can get mixed in with the egg itself and it can be a little difficult in removing the broken shells. A great tip in cracking an egg without getting egg shell mixed in is to crack the egg on a flat surface. Once the egg is cracked, place your thumb inside and split the egg shell. Another good reason to use a flat surface is to eliminate any contamination that could...

October is here and soon it will be the start of making all kinds of goodies. So let's start out with ideas that you are planning to do for Halloween. Any baked goodies that you would like to share? Since we really don't do the trick or treating thing, I may bake up some Halloween cookies for the kids. I also may think to do a Kitty Litter cake that I saw a week or so ago. It's interesting looking and probably would be interesting to make.Share your favorites of what you like to make or what others have made that you enjoyed eating.

Yep, another one, but this one is a positive post. Since I had a box of brownies that had been stashed in the cabinet for a while and I had bought a new baking pan, not too long ago and thought I would try this again. Well after making sure the ingredients were mixed well, poured into the pan and left it baking at the correct time and temperature, the brownies came out moist and not gooey, gooey like they were before. I was tempted in getting that Perfect Brownie product that I seen some time...

This is my Spiderman cake that I made for my son's 4th birthday since it is his favorite character at the moment. I got the idea from http://www.groovy-kids-parties.com/spidermancake.html and it turned out pretty good. This was my first character cake that I have made and hope to make a character cake for my girls' birthdays next year.

I know I haven't posted in a long while and again I haven't had much time to bake, but the holiday seasons is upon us and I did happen to find a recipe for some pumpkin cupcakes in which I intend to make for Christmas and maybe for Thanksgiving to see first how they turn out. But I wanted to show a few baby cakes that I came across that I thought were cute and would give some ideas for those who may be throwing a baby shower for someone and would like some other ways to make it more memorable...
