True story of me! (I'm an Iranian)

At first, whenever I visited this site (yousaytoo.com), I usually browsed some photos (especially those that seemed a little funny). What changed me to a serious everyday-visiting user were just a single comment and a very shocking article including its comments.

- The article was meant to show Terri Gurrola, an American female soldier hugging her daughter right after returning from Iraq. It was so shocking I couldn’t stop myself replying some comments.

- The comment, the other reason of my visits to be continued, was from someone who was suggesting the US to “bomb Iran anyway” ! Although it didn’t lead to a bombardment against Iran (!), it hurt so much. ( http://www.yousaytoo.com/user/Ganza/4519 )

Let me introduce myself: Siamak, 28 and I’m an Iranian.

Please be patient and read the story bellow:

27 years ago, when I was less than one year old, the executed Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, started a war against my country, claiming to conquer Iranians in just one week. That f…king one week lasted for 8 long years! Millions from both countries died! Saddam used its chemical weapons against soldiers and civilians. He ordered to bomb the cities where civilians were living….

Those days, I was less than 10 years old.

One day, when some Iraqi planes were bombing Tehran (where is and was my hometown) one of the most moving and remembering feelings of my whole life happened:

I can still hear the roaring of the jet plane that flew over the house in which my mother and I were hiding… I can still feel the warmth of her body when she was tightly holding me in her arms, maybe preparing herself to accept the death of both of us in just a few seconds…

The plane passed. No bombs were dropped, we were both alive, but my mother and I could not move for some time that seemed too long to me although it may have been less than a minute! After those long seconds, I felt her wet teardrops on my cheek. Those moments were defiantly the worst moments of my childhood…

Now please imagine the sentence: “Bomb them anyway”

And now please watch the photo of Terri and her daughter: http://www.yousaytoo.com/user/kitty/3540 )

How romantic!
Many people including women and children die everyday. This is called Nature.
They die in car accidents, by diseases or even in wars. They die anyway. To be or not to be: that is the question

You may have read so much about wars in books!

In nature, one kind of animal kills another usually to feed. But they rarely kill their kind.

Please tel me, does HUMAN war realy look like NATURE?!!!!!

You being Iranian is actually very interesting. Can you tell me how is it in Iran now? what do people think about the US, EU, other countries, your president and the whole enrichment program.

Let me start from the end:
1- The Iranians have different opinions about enrichment program. But almost all of them believe that due to International laws, Iran has the right to enrichment for peaceful goals such as to use it in power plants.
2- About President Ahmadinejad, some people believe in him and some don't.
Some of those who don't like him believe that the presidency suite does not fit him at all! His government is defiantly unsuccessful in economics. He is a very unreasonable man in foreign politics.
But most people believe that he is playing NO role in the nuclear program.
About the internal problems, when he talks about something, more resources are required to understand the truth!
3- I don't know what exactly you mean by telling you "what people think of the US, EU and other countries". I think I have to write so many books about such a question ;) Please tell me what exactly tou want to know. Maybe then I would be able to answer that question

You know that the US are pushing for more sanctions for Iran and i guess the people in Iran are not very happy about that.

No, they are not happy. But the US has pushed Iran to sanctions since I remember. It first began after the US embassy hostage situation took place in Tehran (I think it occurred in 1981).
Since then, Iran has always faced sanctions especially from the US side.
Just about this time, due to the NIE's report, I think the sanctions will not be so serious.

I'm not sad at all, although I'm not happy either. He was a terrible part of my country's history we experienced.
The important thing is that we don't experience a new terrible part of history again.
