I went over to newegg.com and picked up an insane 600Watt Power supply by antec. The one i have now is pretty sweet with detachable cables. the idea is you only plug in the power cables you need so it's not so cluttered in your pc case, but I have so many drives i ended up plugging all the cables in, it's like a big hampster nest. Oh well I didn't really need a new power supply but it's always good to have a back up or two. Ok I have a backup but it was a good price. I'll give it to my bro when I go visit him during holiday. I love the look of the New canon G10. I might add it to my G collection. I have a G1, G2, G3 and a G5.My G1, I converted to only shoot Infrared.(my first attempt and it kind of broke) my G2 I successfully converted to infrared, but I don't like how it doesn't automatically rotate the vertical photos, so I am going to convert my G5 to infrared. Between the G3 and G5, the G5 is a dog. it's very grainy in comparison. The G3 is so much better. for Infrared the grain won't matter much as I won't be using it in low light anyways. I got to play with my friend's Canon SD1100IS today. It's a cute camera. Very similar to my canon sd800is.Mainly to me, the lens doesn't go down to 28mm. Not bad for only $180. i remember paying 300 bucks for my sd800IS. [more]

An interesting move for Sigma. They bought out the sensor maker Foveon. This makes alot of sense. it better integrates the chip to camera. Developing the sensor which makes the image in house moves Sigma higher up in relevancy.Sony develops their own chip(as well as sells it to others)Canon does their cmos. and Nikon followed suit. so really Sigma buying Foveon is a smart move.Olympus has Panasonic to lean on for their 4/3s system Pentax? well they can prabably rely on Samsung once Samsung comes up to speed. It's kind of nice to see there is a new lens mount which can be backwords compatible with older(still current) lens.As much as I don't think there's a future for the 4/3 lens format from Olympus. I do like the micro 4/3 format which is just a miniture camera without the mirror box. I wish canon would do that. I really like the Contax G2 and would love to have something like that in a digital format. The Contax G2 lens don't permit digital operations due to the lens design, they are made to have the light go at such an angle it wouldn't work so well with the not so flat digital sensor. [more]
