According to Apple Insider, rumor Samsung that would be interested to purchase webOS by the company HP. The move, if successful, could aggravate the already tense Apple relationship and the South Korean electronics giant.
A few days after HP announced plans to sell off its Personal Computer Division and abandon the webOS software, comes the news Samsung who is considering buying the software initially developed by Palm.
Consequently, such a move would strengthen Samsung not only against Apple, but also against Google, which owns the Android operating system.

Earlier this month Google , announced that it would buy Motorola Mobility for 12.5 billion (approximately 8.7 billion). The deal allows Google access to the extensive portfolio of patents of Motorola, but also to introduce the search giant in the hardware business, as Motorola is a leading producer of devices with Android.
Buying webOS, Samsung could feed its line of smartphones and tablet, and also "differentiating their business of Windows Personal computers."
While both companies remain business partners (Samsung provides components for the iDevice), rumors suggest that this could change with the release ofiPad 3 in 2012, when Apple might download Samsung from the supplier role.
