Q: When did you know that you wanted to be a writer?
A: When I ran out of things to say as a composer.
Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration?
A: Mr. G. Reaper.
Q: How do you create the characters in your books? Are they based on people you know?
A: My characters are hewn out of bits and pieces of me, people I know, people I've heard of, and people I think should exist somewhere, even if just in my fiction.
Q: What is the one book you think everyone should read?
A: One of mine. It doesn’t matter which one.
Q: If you weren¹t a writer, what be your profession?
A: Some sort of deity.
Q: If you could trade places with anyone in the world, past or present, real or fiction, who would it be and why?
A: Oh, I don't know, I've finally got this existence ticking right along. But if I really must, it would be Catherine the Great. She absolutely had it all and had an absolute blast with it.
Q: If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have 3 things, what would they be?
A: A fully outfitted frigate, a skillful crew and a satellite phone. I'd sail the high seas, rescuing people marooned on desert islands with only three things. I'd be known as the Dread Pirate Mayerson, the Scourge of Silly Interview Questions. And if I had an internet connection I'd blog about my adventures.
Q: What is your favorite movie of all time?
A: The Blues Brothers.
Q: What is the one thing that you want all your fans to know?
A: Where to find my books (www.WapshottPress.com).
Q: If you could invite 5 people to dinner, who would they be and why?
A: They would be Jane Seaton, Laurel Sutton, Lynn Loper, Molly Kiely, and Robin Austin because they are wonderful friends and have been tremendously supportive of me as a writer and a person. They are the wind beneath my wings. And great fun at parties, so dinner would be delightful.
