A Purple Star from Squidoo
Squidoo Purple Stars are awards bestowed on an “especially stellar” lens by the powers that be at Squidoo. Lately, it seems like a lot of them have been coming my way, more than my share, I think. But, I must say, that I am pleased! And yes, I am beginning to truly believe that Purple Stars are Real Motivators.
It wasn’t too long ago - earlier this month, in fact - that I wrote right here in this blog about receiving my fifth Purple star
Best Kids Books about the Way Things Work. Seems that that was the first in a trilogy of Purple stars that I would receive in the month of November.
Sence then, I have also received Squidoo Purple stars for
Is there a Ban on Incandescent Light Bulbs? and
Cinnamon Tea – Holiday Drink and Health Drink. It really does feel like it’s been raining Purple Stars. And yes, they are real motivators. So far, I have seven new lenses for the month, with two more ideas in the works. Those two new ones would push my November’s new lens total to eight, which I believe would be a personal record. But I’d have to check back to see. My normal pace is about 4 to 5 in a month, but last month, I only managed a paultry TWO.
So, I’m guessing that a combination of the approaching holidays and the plethora of purple stars have something to do with increased lens production this month. For myself, and probably quite a few others, too.
Yep. Three in one month. I think it’s probably some sort of collossal cosmic addident that will never happen again in a millenium, but I am lovin’ it! (Feeling a little gluttonous, but happily so.)
Here are links to ny two newest lenses. It’s probably unlikely that I would have gotten either of them published had I not had the extra motivation provided by those Purple Stars.
