Puerto Galera Trip 1
The island has become a haven to my mom and step dad that they never missed out a visit when they're in the country. As they frequent the place, they have become friends with resort owners, staff, and some island residents. They fell in love with it that they don't want to explore other tourist spots in the Philippines. It is also the place where they want to spend their retirement years. So as they spent their holidays here on the said month, we decided to come along, together with my family and my sister's, we explored the island.
The boat ride from Batangas going to Mindoro is worth mentioning. The ride almost became a nightmare. It was rough. Huge waves rocked the boat up and down. It's like riding in a roller coaster or even worse.
It's supposed to be a 45 minute ride so I didn't bother to wear life vest at first. But upon realizing the weather turned bad, I put it on — as my hub insisted. So as the boat descended and mounted with the waves. I got so dizzy then felt numbness in my legs. To top it all, one of the fiber glass window broke and a sharp piece of it flew near where we sat that it almost hits a child's face. We ended up totally drenched and so were our clothes. Thank God! Cameras, laptop, and phones were just pretty moist up. Keypads worked normally after they have dried up. Since we are still alive, the supposed to be nightmare turned into a funny experience. Remembering what each other looked like after wave has given us a "slap in the face". haha Moving on, we went straight ahead to The White Beach. In front of The White Beach are commercial establishments such as restos, bars, and transient houses. An old jet-ski turned into a table and a 'manong' who's chilling out. The pristine beach of Puerto Galera was screaming and telling us to immediately dip down and get over with the boat experience. My sister with her kids and mine. The now chubby me..hehe My little beach babe, Julianna. Pristine and hub strolling and about to find good snorkeling spots DH was happy to find good spots even in shallow water. My feet looking odd after hours in the water... Cousins — from eldest to the youngest Pristine having another "buried in the sand" moment. Sorry for the flood of photos. It has become a habit for me to share an experience with accompanying photos, therefore, I will post a second part of this trip. hehe I'm having a hard time resizing ang watermarking the images. I recently upgraded to Windows 7 and I still have to install some programs like photoshop. I used paint instead. Resizing is the most important for me since I don't want my page to freezes up when loading photos. Anyhow, thanks for viewing.
